Getting off the pills

The sleeping pills were ok, they got the job done. But they don't necessarily give you the best sleep. I feel I have a hangover after my sleep and I still feel sleepy afterwards even after 10-12 hours. I'm just looking for something that will prevent me from waking up early. So, I'll probably not be taking anymore. I should just discipline myself.

A few days back, I bought a book whose name I heard of before, but I just didn't have the motivation to go through. Now, I feel like going in a little adventure and perhaps I would like to "lose" myself a bit in a good read. I've always been strategizing on what I want to do in my life, but recently, I felt that I have to slow down... and perhaps get to smell the roses. Thanks in large part to a fellow named John Sherman. This is another story in itself. Maybe I can say more about him later.

So, I started Five People You Meet In Heaven yesterday. I'm a slow reader and only had the first chapter done, but it's a good read so far. I have read up on the synopsis and it looks like it will be an interesting story.

A little update on one of my closest friends, Manu. So, finally, he got married, to a wonderful woman. And... I can say without reservation how extremely happy I am for him. I think I show it more than he does. He seemed cranky the last time I talked to him. He was talking about how tired and exhausted he was and how much work he has to do. I can't blame him. He had to fly to his country, have a wedding, and bring back his wife to the United States. And they haven't even had their honeymoon yet.

So, anyway I got him a wartime documentary DVD (that I have yet to ship lol). Because he's a war history buff. And... that's pretty much it.
