Weight Loss - My Goal and Motivation

I am ashamed to admit that I am not in good shape these days. I remember a year back, I had a good weight and form, but have let myself get out of control.

I feel like I have turned a leaf though and felt like coming back to get in shape. Not only that, but I have an ultimate goal in mind... though I'm not yet prepared to reveal it. As a medium-term goal though, I found a good motivation to get back in shape. Come Autumn, around October, I want to be able to wear a nice looking black leather jacket. And since it's for 6 months, I am planning to spend around $600 for this jacket.

The current problem I have of course is that since I'm out of shape, a leather jacket that would fit me and my shape is a larger than usual. Anyone who has seen people wearing these kinds of jackets would notice that the jacket *has* to fit you snugly. And that's why you rarely see it being worn by overweight people.

It looks best when it fits perfectly on your shoulders and let it fall down almost straight. And so, that's my goal. And I hope to get to that level of fitness and shape by October of this year.

As for the particular type of leather jacket I have in mind? Well, I'm keeping it open for now. Though a recent TV show I saw a leather jacket that I'm fond of. John Juanda's jacket when he won the WSOP Europe Main Event pictured below...

So there you are folks. That's my goal, and my motivation. In a next entry, I'll lay out my initial progress, measurements (gulp!) and other relevant information.
