13 Going On 30 Going Down To 0

I watched this movie last night. And all I can say is this movie is so lame that I've made up my mind about half way into the movie. The acting was sub-par, Jennifer Garner was not even convincing for a comedy. Judy Greer (“What Women Want”, “Wedding Planner” and “Adaptation”) was superb, but the role given to her was just awful. Her character was so inconsistent and one-sided that it will fail logic once a brain wave of thought is applied. Jennifer Garner's boss in the movie, Richard, is so helpless at leading a magazine company you wonder how he even got that position. Then, the ultimate sign that this was a movie not for me was the slumber party scene of Garner with other 13 year olds (note I used the word "other"). But that's not the saddest part. The saddest part is that I watched it till the end. :((

But movies like these are useful. It makes you appreciate other movies that are truly great that might escape you when all you watch are top-caliber films. So, this is a welcome but hopefully less than regular occurence. ^_^
